Jammin’ Music is committed to creating a positive learning and teaching environment for its students and staff. For this reason, it is important that all students and parents understand and abide by the studio policies as outlined below.
Makeup Lesson Policy
• The tuition you pay reserves a lesson time each week; we cannot resell that time nor can we consistently create extra teaching time to give makeup lessons. Because of this, please reserve your makeup lesson requests for the following reasons only: 1) illness, or 2) vacation trips. Illnesses must be called in BEFORE the start of your lesson time in order to qualify for a makeup lesson. (Sorry, we cannot promise makeup lessons for play dates, too much homework, etc.)
• Makeup lessons for reasons other than illness can be accommodated provided that you give a minimum of 24 hours notice to the front desk. Please respect your instructor’s time and avoid scheduling appointments, play dates, and other incidentals during your weekly lesson time.
Missed Lessons
• If you miss a lesson without calling ahead in accordance with the outlines above, your lesson cannot be made up and is considered forfeited. We do not issue refunds for missed lessons.
If your teacher is absent, a substitute may replace the teacher for that week. There are no credits for lessons missed if a substitute has been provided. Should your teacher be absent for more than two weeks, you will be notified by phone call or e-mail. Students will not be charged for studio holidays or teacher absences if we are unable to provide a substitute.
